2022 PMI Houston Conference & Expo Recap

Earlier this week, the Onset Technologies team and over 400 other project management professionals made their way to NRG Center to participate in PMI Houston’s “The Way We Work” Conference and Expo.

Over the last two years, Project Managers have been at the forefront of change as we pivot to handle the challenges of a pandemic. We have rapidly delivered projects urgently needed and started and stopped projects as surges impacted our needs. As a result, we have changed how we work, where we work, and even what we work on.

The Way We Work

This year’s conference centered around two themes; project managers are change makers, and project managers are resilient. With these themes in mind, the conference keynotes, breakout sessions, and workshops focused on the following topics:

The two-day conference comprised thirty breakout sessions and keynotes with speakers including US Olympian Johnny Quinn, Author Rick Gillis, and PMI Strategy Oversight Committee Chair Matt Tomlinson. It was an excellent opportunity for project managers to develop their skills and network with other industry professionals.
