Onset Technologies Sponsors HMSDC Scholarship Fundraiser

Each year, the Houston Minority Supplier Development Council (HMSDC) conducts its Scholarship Fundraising Golf Tournament at Black Horse Golf Club in Cypress, Texas. The Scholarship Fundraiser is a fun annual event held to raise funds to underwrite high-quality developmental experiences for minority business owners. Since the event’s inception in 1987, HMSDC has awarded 752 scholarships, which signifies over $1.7 million awarded in minority business scholarships. Scholarship funds are used to support HMSDC development initiatives and to award scholarships to select minority entrepreneurs (active and involved MBEs) to attend the educational programs of their choice to enhance their business skills.

More Than a Tournament

Along with the golf tournament, the scholarship fundraiser included a putting contest, golf clinic, silent auction, and luncheon. It was a great opportunity for minority business owners to play and network with potential clients to build relationships, discuss their capabilities and explain why they should be considered as a valued member of their supply chains.

Continuing Support

For the second year in a row, Onset Technologies sponsored the tournament to show community support for minority business development. As an MBE, Onset Technologies is proud to actively be involved in efforts that will increase and expand business opportunities and business growth for fellow Minority Business Enterprises and to drive excellence in supplier diversity and supplier development. See you on the green next year!
