In addition to the training and workshops, attendees were provided with a business lunch and learn, including door prizes and a flat-screen TV for the grand prize giveaway!

Following the workshop, training sessions, and lunch, state universities from the region held a procurement panel discussion that gave attendees valuable insights into procurement opportunities for businesses. The state universities included:

  • UTMB Galveston
  • Texas A&M Galveston
  • Lamar University
  • Lamar State College Orange
  • Lamar State College Port Arthur
  • Lamar Institute of Technology

Overall, the expo was a success. It was an excellent opportunity for attendees to boost their business marketing skills and network with other businesses. Here’s what some of our employees had to say about the event.

“I had the pleasure to attend the expo for HUB-affiliated businesses. It was great to meet so many small and big businesses and learn about their offerings and the possibilities we could work together. The turnout despite the heat was good, and we have enjoyed sharing information with the community about Onset technologies services as well as our job openings.”

– Dominika Staniewicz, HR/Talent Acquisition Manager

“The Golden Triangle Minority Business Council HUB Program Expo held in Beaumont, TX on June 9, 2022, was a resounding success. The event was open to the public and was comprised of thirty-nine public and private exhibitors who had an opportunity to meet and discuss HUB opportunities for minority businesses in the area as well as having significant time for networking.  We at Onset Technologies, LLC are very grateful to Beverly Hatcher of the GTMBC for her dedication in putting together this wonderful program.”

– Steve Gorden, Business Services Director

Steve couldn’t have said it better. We at Onset Technologies want to thank the Golden Triangle Minority Business Council, the Statewide HUB Program, and all of the sponsors for putting this event together.
